I had the very good fortune to dig up a fantastic specimen of a coin today. Needless to say I am a happy camper. Now I'd like to find out a little about it and its value. This is the condition of the coin in an uncleaned state. Help is very appreciated, thanks.
It's a Spanish 1 reale struck at the Seville mint. Has no great value, maybe $50 in that condition, but still a quite nice coin. Must admit though, I am more than a little surprised that it shows so few signs of corrosion being as it's a ground find.
I guess its cause its silver/nickel. Most other more modern american coins I find have more oxidation than it does. Sorry to hear 50 bucks was hoping to pay off the house. lol
