1732 Denga?

    After casting about on the internet, I think this is a Russian Denga of 1732. I wonder if a Russian collector could comment on whether this is likely a "dug" example or simply how these pieces come when circulated.

    I`m not Russian but I have had many of these coins pass through my hands over the years

    Denga or ½ Kopek, Crowned double headed eagle , Reverse; date and value in cartouche.

    Strange that 1732 is not listed in Krause 1701-1800.

    It could be 1732 but maybe 1731 - it's a lot more common. A nicer looking denga would look like this:

    i recently picked up a 1736 denga for 20p. cant go wrong with that can you

    Yes it is definitely a dug example as indicated by the corrosion over the entire surface of the coin.

    Denga is a one of a spreading "dug" coins in Russia. We got it about 8$ for each piece.
