I picked up this coin yesterday and I'm trying to figure out if it's authentic. It looks like it would be worth north of $100 if it is. I don't see anything that looks exactly like it from online searches, but I also see a lot of variation between the examples I do find online. Some things I notice is that mine seems to have the 3 of the denomination more directly below the portrait than most of them do. Some varieties have the date together like mine does while others have it split across the top. I also can't decide if I think the portrait as well as the Madonna and child look right, but as I said there seems to be a lot of variation. The photo on Numista had cud all over the place and kind of mushy letters and details so I feel like it's hard to use that as an example. There's an Austrian version too that does not have the Madonna and child. I pulled this coin out of a bunch of coins my LCS had purchased but not sorted through yet and I only paid a few dollars for it. I don't think that means anything about the authenticity though as they are not experts on foreign coins.
@Jaelus He should have many answers for you. Jaelus is this forum's expert on Hungarian coins. Not sure if this is though with the "CM" mintmark.
Looks a lot like the NGC example. There is more variation on these older coins than we're used to seeing in modern ones. I'm not entirely sure, but these could have been roller milled too which can add to the variation as well.
