I recently came across a 1952 willow tree shilling, it's in good condition but I don't know how to tell if it's real or not, also I would like to know around how much do they go for. I will post an image as soon as I get home where the coin is at.
They are very rare and replicas aren't so odds are it is a fake. The coin should be paper thin and smooth surfaces. If it is thicker and rough it is probably a cast, but please post pictures.
A willow tree shilling in poor condition would have ran you about 20 grand. If you didn't shell out 20k or more, it's fake or you got really lucky.
