I don't know much about this coin aside from it being Austrian in origin and it has Maximilian, Archduke of urther Austria on it. How much is this worth and where could I find a buyer as I am a college student in need of cash.

I'm no expert in World Coins, but it appears to be as you described, Austrian Thaler 1618.

The KM number for the coin is 227.2

Numismaster.com lists this coin as $80 in Fine condition, $160 in VF and $250 in XF.

Nice pics. I would be comfortable with a VF grading, but others here are much more skilled than I am.

It's a nice coin and I believe most dealers would be interested in purchasing it from you. Expect to receive a bid from them 15% - 20% below the price above.

    Best of luck!

    Good luck!
