Beautiful andNatural GIANT 520 gram VERY Rare Crystalline Quartz California Gold Nugget! Rare and Amazing natural form! Nugget measures 4 1/2" x 2" x 1 1/4"! Beautiful crystallized caverns all over, it is amazing to look at, pictures do not do this piece justice! Amazing bright color and unique shape. So hard to find this type of nugget, and even harder to find a large one like this!

Millions of years ago, gold was pushed up through the earth's crust but at this particular spot, there was thermo steam at over 4000 degrees F. which also came up. This forced crystallized gold into the quartz rock. To a collector, crystallized gold is worth as many times the value of gold nuggets of the same weight!

This is not your average nugget. Please take a close look at the detailed photos and mull over how Mother Nature created this beautiful work of art over hundreds of years. Nuggets like this are so rare since most of them were melted down during the Gold Rush times. Coming across a unique specimen like this and in this size, could be once in a lifetime! As these tumbled down rivers, the quartz breaks away and the gold breaks up into smaller nuggets. Its amazing to even find small versions intact, but one as wide as your hand is rare. From California almost a decade ago.......only a very few of these are ever found and even less ever see public sale.

Perfect for the collector, a display item for a store to draw in the curious, or to simply hold for its value.

Total weight, 16.7 ounces or 520 grams. While these specimens sale for their rarity and as collectible specimens, its natural to wonder about its inherent value, so......a specific gravity test can be used to measure the actual gold content and the quartz content.

The test showed 302 grams or 9.7 ounces of pure Gold content!

The inputs used are as follows:
Dry weight of Sample: 521 grams
Weight of displaced H20: 104 grams
Specific gravity of the Gold: 19.32
Specific gravity of the Quartz: 2.65

$18,500
