1553 Alphabet Token / Jetton What is it?

    I was wondering if anyone has seen one these before. It measures just over an inch across. It is dated 1553 and has the alphabet on. The letter J and U are missing as these were not in the alphabet at the time. I believe it to be a contemporary English piece. Any help much appreciated. Thankyou.

    It's odd that 'J' would be left out of the 'alphabet' on one side but used on the other side.

    No idea what it is, never seen anything like it. But given what appears ciryllic(sic) writing would guess it is from Russia.
