1486 A.D.

    500 years later, I finally graduated from college and took a
    2 month tour of Europe to visit family and sight. Misplaced
    the photo album so I'll just show a few coins. Nothing from
    1986, but a few from 1486.

    This is a Kortling from Gottingen.

    This is a Pfennig from Graz. When my parents escaped Hungary in
    1956, they were in a refugee camp near Graz. In 1964 our family
    visited Graz. I visited again in 1973. My wifes and my health
    permitting, I would like to go back to Europe and visit some of
    the towns that issued pre 1501 A.D. dated coins. If any of you
    have coins that have family memories tied to them, please post
    them. The last two images, John, aka @messydesk, created for me
    along with 50 others at the most recent ANA in Rosemont, Il.
    As you can see , he did a most excellent job. Thanks John!!
