Ok gang, I tried to look all over the internet and can't find this item. It is a boxed framed set of sterling silver copies of the paper notes from the original 13 colonies. I have not purchased it yet but it is being held for me. It is in a nice wooden box with a glass top. Each sterling silver plate (Flat rectangular same size as the note) is a copy of a note from that colony. To me it looked like a really cool find but I had no idea what it may be worth. Has anyone seen this and if so have any idea of the value? Thanks, Erin
It's worth it's weight in silver, no more, no less. Find out how much the silver content weighs, and multiply that by the spot price of silver. The 'certificate of authenticity should give a weight.
Sounds like something the Franklin Mint would produce. You, my friend, are the collector. What do you think? Do you like the look of the "pieces" involved? Does it strike your fancy? If so by all means purchase it for your collection. However. If you're looking for a return on this item down the road, then by all means (and in all due caution), pass.......
