Picked this up from a display case at a local antique shop. Paid $25. From reading here in the various posts about such coins, I thought $25 sounded like a good deal, especially with many of them off by around 50% or more. Pics of the group below. Lighting was kinda poor when I took the pics, but I did not think there was anything else worth seeing that needs better light. 1983 on all with full dates and a couple other partial dates and some with no dates.
Great to hear! 2 or 3 of the no-date ones may be copper, just from look and weight in hand...B1, B2, and A3 if looking at them like an excel spreadsheet.
Two, maybe 3, seem to not be zinc. I’ll put them on the scale later after cleaning up the rest of the mess two days of my family at the house partying has left me.
Lucky find man! Great addition! It inspired me to take some day trips to some of these old central florida towns that have decades old antique shops. Never know what you can run across!
Happy to have happened upon these. With a little work, one can build a set that approximates the phases of the moon in the waxing and waning of off-centeredness.
I think you did well at $25. Be sure to check those 1983s for the varieties. Edit: http://www.lincolncentresource.com/doubledies/doubledies.html
While I’d like to report something better, there does not appear to be any valuable doubling on these coins, and certainly not anything matching that link. Thanks for providing it.
