Just returned from the bank with twelve rolls of half dollars. The teller has more if i want them.
I'm going to search them this evening and go back for more if my finds are worthwhile.
I wonder if a roll searcher dropped off his rejects. :)

What do I look for besides silver?

If they were mine, I stamp the sides of the rolls with "No AR" on them. Tellers won't know, but I hope fellow collectors will - and save themselves the effort of buying and going through duds.

I usually mark mine as well. I've actually at one point seen some of my searched rolls offered to me at a totally different bank than where I dropped them at a different time..

I opened all twelve rolls and no silver. Earliest date 1971. Is there anything >1970 that's worth keeping? I'm saving some of the coins that are in great shape in case my grand kids take the bait and start collecting.
When I reroll them I'll mark the rolls AR. What does AR mean?

that's funny getting your own rolls from another bank. :)

I wondered when all these roll searchers would just start being re-cycled & re-cylced :rollling:
