Boss bought a big collection yesterday. LOTS of miscellaneous stuff in it and I found these.
    From Littleton nonetheless.

The little pamphlet says they are Bull and Horseman coins from India minted in the 11th and 12th centuries. Therefore, it would seem to me there were probably a great deal minted.

Can anyone help me with a possible value to these? Taking them back to the shop today.

    Thanks,

I would agree with the attribution of being 11th century, they do look like late examples of the type. And, yes, there were loads of these minted, for centuries, starting in the 800's. I would not give them more than $10 value.

    Thanks,

We pretty much figured as much and I honestly didn't want to look them up.

The collection he bought is rather large and unorganized. Will take me a good week to get it broken down.

Here is a good example of a bull and horseman AR jital from around 900 Saffarid, Ya'qub bin al-Layth.

Would be worth 70 to 100 USD

Your examples look to be billon jitals from the Sultanate of Delhi (mamluk) no doubt. I think they are from Mohammed Ghori (1173-1206) worth roughly 6-10 USD (more or less).

    Interesting time in Indian history.

    Thanks again guys.

I told the boss I had consulted here and gave him the rough value.

They now reside in the tiny clembo World and Ancient collection. He gave them to me for nothing.
