Thanks to @dwhiz for getting me to 11K likes and thanks to @charley for sending me in the right direction for this. It is a key coin in the Canada half dollar series, with, I think, a mintage of 347,000 coins. Only one more to go for my Whitman bookshelf album and that's the 1947 Maple Leaf variety. The older albums do not make it easy with their variety spaces but, considering the low mintage, they are often times doable. And cheers to everyone else that got me to this point. Sorry about the coin orientation. Looks like someone at ANACS was having a bad day. There is no tampering with the slab, just poorly placed.
I disagree, because the placement/orientation is an attention getter, and prompts a person to view the piece from various positions and rotation, and that is when the real visible beauty of a piece is observed. I like it.
@tommyc03 congratulations on a respectable milestone. Thanks for showing your new acquisition, a lovely coin
