In honor of Pearl Harbor day, I present this little piece of history from my recently started banknote collection. Based on a quick read of Wikipedia, it was issued by the United States Civil Administration of the Ryukyu Islands, Okinawa, Japan Didn't buy it for the monetary value, but for the historical value. Imagine what it's been through and saw? I just hope that that isn't blood stains on the note. [bites lip] I do good for only $1.99?
So it's normal for money this old to be this cheap? I was kinda scared I might have bought a fake, but I didn't see any others in similar shape, so figured it was legit.
