100% American Teddy Roosevelt Medal/coin - 1919

Hey, I was wondering if anyone has any information on this neato medal/coin I just received from an inheritance.


It Reads:
Tribute From Lieutenants - 1895 - 1897
Police Commissioner - Benevolent Ass'n - Feb 22 1919

It Reads:
Theodore Roosevelt
100% American

I can't find much on the medal itself, but TR

served as New York City's police commissioner from 1895-1897, so I'm guessing the medal commemorates that. I could only find one listing of the medal itself:http://www.icollector.com/478-1895-...utenant-s-Police-Commissioner-Medal_i10539387

Maybe someone else has more information.
