The otherday while at work as a vault manager for a credit union I came across 100 brand new $100 2009A star notes. I was wondering if these have any vaule (beside's $10,000) The serial numbers are LL06243900 - LL06244000 Any information would be helpful!
100 consecutive $1 star notes sell on ebay for more than double: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...e&_nkw=+100+consecutive+$1+star+note&_sacat=0 You could definitely make a profit but it would be very hard to find people who can afford to spend $10,000. I would suggest keeping them for now if you can afford it and if anything, you could just cash them back in if you can't find any buyers.
If your credit union has no problem with it, buy them. But as a vault manager, I would get someone's approval so it doesn't come under suspect later. You don't want to have other's question your integrity or your honesty. Not in a sensitive position like your own.
I agree with Sam. As far as finding a buyer, go with HA.com or Lyn Knight. You'll reach a larger number of buyers and dealers with enough capital. The problem is the auction fees.
In a situation like that you might ask a few friends to back you with some money with some sort of return for them.
