    the auction i saw for a tenth anniversary tickle me elmo going for 10 million dollars (with a reserve) was worse than this. but still qualifies for "moron seller".

    well with those who dont know any better, they're just ignorant not fools. the fool is the person who does know better and then buys it anyway.

    With the Internet and many other resources at our fingertips, I don't accept the "ignorance" point of view. Pre-1995, yes I would have accepted it. Not now, there is no excuse for anyone failing to do their research. :)

    Hey, don't these guys have to pay humongous seller's fees for this sort of listing? Why do people do this? Do they like giving their money to ebay? I guess that's it.

    I was wondering if it was also common for other numbers such as the 3 to be missing or not complete?

    Any part of the legends or design can fall victim to grease filled die problems; they are just more noticeable when they completely obscure one or more numbers and/or letters.
