I went to the bank today to get some rolls of nickles and pennies to look through. I got ten rolls of pennies and ten rolls of nickles. The teller gives me the nickles and i look at them. The top coin of each one is either the obverse or reverse of the Ocean In view nickle. So is the other side. I couldnt believe that I got 10 rolls of UNC OIV nickles. So I opened one and the whole roll was OIV nickles all in UNC condition. Well just wanted to share some nice fortune. Should I hang on to these? Lax
I really hope these nickels dont go up in value. They are seriously worthless. They are being hoarded in MS by the 1000's. If they are ever more than 10 cents in MS give me a call. The US mint needs to stick to one design or series instead of coming out with 5 different designs in 3 years. By the way, nice find at the bank. I would keep them because they only cost face value.

There ya go, you can ebay those suckers and make a bit out of the deal PLUS have a pretty cool story about what a savvy coin-slinger you are. OR, you can hang onto them until the prices cool off and everyone starts getting a clue that there are so many of the things out there that they aren't worth much more than face and your story is pretty much just rambling about how much they were worth way back when. I'd sell 'em just for the cooler story alone. can you say bicentennial quarter?
