Has anyone heard of or seen a 10 oz silver coin that commemorated the Miami International Mid Winter Coin Show? I believe it was in 1973? Was it 90% silver or just clad with silver? I think it was minted by The Franklin Mint. Thanks a lot! zeke

I've never seen or heard of it, but a lot of what the Franklin Mint produces is in .925 sterling silver.

That's news to me. I don't follow the Franklin Mint much but this coin has got my curiosity up.

    I found pictures of it.!

Just think about it! In 73 that was what, $50 worth of silver? :)

Well, I feel like an IDIOT! I bid for this sterling silver coin thinking it was 10 ounces. I misread it over and over. It was only
1oz in weight. It was printed like this 1OZ SILVER COIN. I got the winning bid. I was ready to go up to $200 forit.
Got it for a total of $91.92. I just about broke even. PHEW!

I don't know why I'm double posting. On the first submit I got a data base error. Couldn't find the fist submit so I submitted again. This time no data base error. But did get a message saying I had double submitted. The black cloud is hanging
    over me. zeke

That would have been a great deal if it was 10 :)
