Gold last week closed at $667. so a common date $10 in ms61: what would you value it now?

You're asking about a half-dozen or more different coins, minted over a period of 138 years, with two different Actual Gold Weights. Since many common date MS60s are listed in the Red Book below current bullion value, they are worth $662.95 a troy ounce, plus or minus a small premium depending on whether you are selling or buying, as of 10:35 a.m. PST on February 12, 2007. For most years MS61s will have the same value.

I'll go out on a limb and say $385 is about the going rate for the type of coin you describe.
