When I got to 1000 posts I also hit 4000 likes at the same time. I wondered if I could do it again - hit 2500 posts with 10,000 likes? In short, I wondered if I could meet a quality of posts that other folks would actually like, while quietly reading other posts where I don’t have enough knowledge to really contribute. So, about 250 posts ago, I did the math, and saw I would have to challenge myself to get over 5.3 likes per post to hit this (capricious) target. What the heck, says I, let’s give it a go! So, it worked out! Today I got to 10,000 likes while still having 17 posts to spare. Sure, it’s pure folly to focus on something like this, but it was fun to try it. Thanks to everyone for accepting my posts here. Here are some of my favorites. I hope you enjoy them!
Congratulations, to be honest, that many likes to a ratio of posts, shows the quality of your contributions. Long may it continue
@RonSanderson - Go to the "Members" page at the top and click on "Most Likes". You'll see some numbers in the top 5 or 6 that will astonish you.
They do, indeed, but there is a different dynamic in the Ancients side of the house and the US forums. I will never reach 100,000 likes or 25,000 posts, but I have only been posting about 4 years and almost nobody gets 20+ likes in these forums. So I am quite content with this, and honored, considering the context of where I post.
Congrats Ron... I'm still working on getting my 1st 1000 likes! Nice coin pics as well..Love that SLQ J.T.
No offense to the Cro-Magnons on the Ancients forum, but they give everyone a "Like" if they've just lived another day.
