I did a little searching and found in ciculated condition it could be worth $30,000 to $45,000, and in unc. it could fetch $60,000 or more!!! Wow, I wish it was mine! And they traded it for face.:headbang:

Yeah-I saw that on the news last night. Now-don't mean to sound weird, but is $60,000 for that enough? I'm not going against viper's estimate, that's what the news said too, but that's only 6 times face value. Plus it's the 1st one made for that year, whatever the year is-anyone know-I can't tell?

This just goes to remind you that you should tell your family what you have. The owner of this note died 20 years ago, and nobody seemed to care. My most valuable item is a note, and, although my wife doesn't know the exact value, she knows enough which pieces to auction, which pieces to hand on as heirlooms, and which to sell straight to a dealer.

20 years ago this probably wasn't worth $60,000 to $80,000 dollars though.

It's not the first; the caption said it's similar to the one shown here.
