If you look at past auction records recently, these are great deals for CAC'd, old holder, PCGS coins. Coin 1: 1909 VDB Lincoln 1c PCGS MS66RD OGH CAC The coin has blazing luster and bright Red, Orange and Yellow color. This coin was encapsulated in the early 1990's in an Old Green Holder. The labels in these holders often turned blue, which is the reason for the blue label in an OGH slab. The coin has also been stickered by CAC meaning that it meets or exceeds its standards for the grade. It is important to mention that Red Copper is often very unstable. The fact that this coin has remained red for 20+ years, and that CAC approved the Red designation, is proof that the color is original and fresh, not altered. Over 2,000 VDB cents have been certified as MS66 RD by PCGS, yet only 128 have been approved by CAC as being fresh, original and accurately graded. Coin 2: 1909 VDB Lincoln 1c PCGS MS66RD Rattler CAC The coin has sharp luster and very few contact marks even under a 10x glass. The coin has a nice golden color on the obverse and gold tinted with red and orange on the reverse. This coin was encapsulated in the mid to late 1980's in a first generation Rattler slab.
