MDD? Or Plating Issues? Or something else?

1970 D Looks like another coin was pressed into it? PMD? Corrosion?
1987 P Weak Strike? Corrosion? Or just plain worn down? Although I find it odd just those two sections would be worn down and not the rest of the outer edge of the coin. Or something else?

Just the reverse of each coin for reference.

I normally stick to cents but figured these could help me learn as well. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Is on the dime gas bubbles? Just guessing.

Could be, but if it is they form a perfect outline of his profile.

Could be a very weak DD or MDD (dime), light strike
First quarter is maybe struck through fragment and weak planchet
On the second quarter, heavy circulation, nothing special

    Just my guess

If the reverse of the dime looks normal, the dime was struck through a capped die. The two quarters are post mint damaged.

    Thanks,
    Bill
