When did they start making Silver Eagles 1.6 oz ?? Is this a case of someone not knowing what 100 mil means, or are they trying to pull a fast one on newbies? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=39488&item=3943461315&rd=1 Not much time left or else I would ask the seller whats up!!
If you mean the U.S. Mint, the answer is never. Probably someone who does know that "100 mil .999 silver" means silver plate on a base metal planchet and that genuine Silver Eagles are marked "1 OZ. FINE SILVER-ONE DOLLAR", because they weigh one ounce, are .993 silver alloyed with .007 copper, and are issued by the U.S. Mint with legal tender status. This auction requires the 20-foot pole reserved for things you wouldn't even touch with a 10-footer!
