09 s vdb error

    Are there any known o9 s VDB lincoln cents? I have one with a missing L in liberty.

    The vast majority of "missing letter" coins are "struck through grease" errors, where the die has accumulated some grease in one or more low spots, which then don't get fully struck, and I'll make a small (very small) wager that is what you have.

    We'll never know whether or not I am right unless we see some clear pictures, however. ;)

    Wow post some pics of her! I agree with Roy, sounds like you have a grease filled error, but still sounds pretty sweet!

    Thank you all for replying, I must learn how to do pics for you all to see. I will get the better half on it asap. This coin also has an extremely weak VDB which is, believe it or not, easier to see with the naked eye than with magnification. Any input on this?
