Hello everybody! I was in my local coin shop and in one of his cases he had a box of uncirc ASE's ranging in date from 05-09 at a price of $20 a piece and another box with 2010 ASE's uncir for $21. Next to those coins he a 1882 CC in EF condition for $150, 1883,1884 and 1890 CC for close to the same amount. I love CC Morgan's but is it a better investment to go with all the ASE's or just one CC Morgan. Unfortunately this will be one of my major purchases for the month.:hammer:

These "walkers" that you are referring to I would assume are American Silver Eagles, correct? The first thing you must do is get it straight in your mind as to what actually want to do. Do you want to "invest" in ASE's or do you want to collect "Morgans". Coin collecting is for fun and enjoyment, not investing, quite especially with the Morgans (in their indicated condition) that you mentioned.

  7. If you can pay $20 for an ASE (with spot currently around $18.60), that is a pretty good deal. TC

150 for an ef cc morgan is not such a great deal, usually you can pick up gsa morgans 82-84 with the box and coa for 160 or so. I think that ase's for 20 right now is a good deal tho, I would go with that or if you want a morgan go for a gsa with the box and coa.
