I have seen loads about the mint misprinting the guy fawkes £2 coin so it reads "pemember pemember the fifth of november" but cant find nothing about it reading "remember remember the fifth of novembep" and how come nobody mentiones the date reading what looks like a backwark 7 when its supposed to be dated 1605 - 2005

    The backward 7 is a 17th C. style 5.

The "p"'s instead of "R"'s is from the leg of the R chipping off of the edge die. These coins have the edge lettered before striking. (Done similarly to how we letter the edge of the dollar coins after striking.) The reeding is formed during the strike.

I have one of these Guy Fawkes £2 coins that says “Novembep” too. Does anyone have any ideas as to how much they’re worth? Just out of curiosity?
