Hello everyone, I just saw this design and I love it! The 2024 Celia Cruz Quarter is the 14th coin in the American Women Quarters Program. I just want to bet there will be people who will say that the US Mint made a huge mistake and put an upside down exclamation point in the beginning of the word ¡AZUCAR! In Spanish you use an upside down exclamation point before the word. That was Celia's catchphrase when she performed. It means sugar but what she wanted to convey was.. Sweet!
Some of the designs have been less inspired than others, but I love how each time I look up the honoree I learn new things!
