But yeah, the date is much slimmer on the small date variety.
I always thought it was because the top of the 8 is smaller on the small date vs the large date hence why that's all I was looking at.

My eyes are really bad, I have a jewellers loupe, and a magnification lamp, but fine details would be easier with a scope.
