FYI, in 1958 the date wasn't "punched," it was engraved. Just like the others, all I'm seeing is DDD or it took a hit.
I got two 2021D cents in change at the end of January here in Houston. It's usually late February or early March before I see any new coins.
Looks like it has been laquered and/or polished. There was a time when laquer was used to preserve coins.
It could be what is termed a "brass plated" cent. If there is enough zinc in the plating solution, it will give the cent a yellowish look. The...
Looks like a brass plated cent, where zinc was present in the plating solution and dissolved into the solution over time.

That is the way the "7" is supposed to look, based on the style of numbering that Victor Brenner used when he engraved the obverse in 1909. There...
Funny how people think that rounding is only up. No, it's up or down to the nearest cent now, and that wouldn't change if we get rid of the cent.
Ahhhh, yes. I see that the Mint has finally solved the problem of striking cents at negative seigniorage!
Not saying it is a doubled die, the pictures just aren't clear enough for me, but it does look promising. You "might" have something there.
