Might have to retract last comment...wife was looking at edge of other nickels and surfaces dont seem to vary much from this coin..can see lots of...
Did notice its a bit thicker than normal nickel though...and can see marks along edge than would indicate not struck in press or was ground down...
I have a 1939 nickel that sticks to a magnet...in all appearance it looks like a real nickel..the wear on it looks consistent with normal...
