but does the flat spot on the reverse match up where the head is on the obverse?

i finally found my micrometer guys... here's the results test dimes: 1994: .054" 1995: .055" the dime in question (1996): .052"... just slightly...

I've been trying to understand the reasoning for state quarters and the pres dollars... how does collecting these coins impact our economy?
it seems to be that some pre 1980 cents are very well embossed... if that's what you mean... especially the 1960 series
