No the 40 dollar coin was not a Gordian III i will take new pics now the 40 dollar 1 was silver and in great condition

Oh there real alright the pawner bought them from some person who had collected them for 40 years and I forgot what the 40 dollar 1 looked like....

Went to a pawn shop today and they had over 2000 roman coins I bought a very nice Gordian III AE-Sect bought it for 13 bucks was that a good deal?...
