The reverse on this coin is not from an 1878-cc. There were no 1878-cc's with the reverse of '79.
There were no reverse of 79 on any 78-CC's.

If it is indeed a 1992-D it would be extremely rare. I'm skeptical the OP's coin is a 1992-D.
In 1992 the wide AM was normal and the close AM is very rare.
