66+ no FS. The scratch on the 3rd (and to a lesser degree the 4th) pillar keep it from 67. But, the obverse is definitely 67 worthy. Steps...
I did say I would be fine with 66+, but gave it a 67. So, I'm going to take that as a win :)
Coin 1 - MS 66 Not FS. This is a beautiful coin, but I think the scratch on the reverse between the windows on the right side of Monticello...
I'm at MS 67, though I'd be fine with 66+ as there are a few very small nicks on shoulder, chin and on the left side of the reverse building. I'm...
Good points and agree with the last one, for sure. I was busy the last few days and only had the chance to vote on two. But, to help make your...
@Lehigh96 I don't know that this statement is true. The logic you used would say that the average variance would be 0 if, for instance, there...
I think it's a 66, not FS. The scratches on the jaw seem to have to do with the planchet, and shouldn't impact the grade. However, the nick to...
I'm at 65 and would give it FS. Although it looks like it's in an NGC holder, so maybe not. It's hard to tell what that is next to the T in...

You think so, even with the rim damage?
Holy crap! Yeah, that would've really irritated me every time I looked at it.
Another reason could be that the vast majority of people going to a coin show probably aren't looking to spend $3K.
It's also disappointing that coin 2 is crooked in the holder. That would bug the heck out of me. I'd have it reholdered.
Looks like a clear FS-511 to me based on what I see at Variety Vista
Same here and that WLH looks authentic
Oops, was too late on this one. Was going to say MS66. Very nice coin
I have found that kids really like larger coins. So, Ikes and Franklins are good way to start without spending too much
Seems like an AU coin to me. The steps are close, but I don't think the full steps are there
@Lehigh96 When I look up that coin on NGC, how come it says "Deleted" for the NGC Grade?
Multiple hits on the cheek, collar and hair. However, I voted MS 65 because, like @kSigSteve, I believe the reverse is 67 worthy. Looks like it...
