It very well could be one of the many doubled die varieties for 1972. The ring on the rim is known as a ridge ring and is very common.
So that’s where my missing vent went. Nice packaging error to have.
Welcome to CT.
I believe the coin is accurate in the grade it received and will not CAC.
Definitely damaged after it left the mint. Also counter stamped EF and the coin has received lots of wear. Probably a button as stated.
Looks like a struck through to me as well. It’s also circulated a lot and that lowers the value. It’s a mint error but not worth a lot.
I like that one you posted and yes I have two dates but they’re both the same.
Thank you
If you look closely at the obverse the reverse is backwards. The memorial is best seen at the top and ONE CENT is above the lower bust and date.

It’s zinc but it’s a nice error. I’ve had it for 9 years. [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
Not sure which side is obverse but I’m calling this side the obverse. The head looks a little to the left to me. [ATTACH] So that makes this side...
I just found this piece and it’s labeled Italian Silver, Grosso, circa 1700. I’ve had it for about 7-10 years but I know nothing else about it....
I’d need a photo of the coin to make a comment. Lol
I didn’t even look at the rim as that lamination error on Lincoln’s coat jumped out at me.
Well said!
The mint is just saving money snd charging more for what they sell.
It wasn’t there when the coin was minted so it should be removed carefully.
It’s not enough to bring a premium or get error collectors excited. It’s what Kentucky stated. It would be helpful if you showed both sides.
It’s a toned silver ounce. It will always be worth the price of silver regardless of the toning m. As for toning, everyone has different tastes....
