Mint marks used to be punched into each die by hand, if it was punched a little light, that would result in a slightly thinner looking mintmark....

Wrong, if you did actual solid research you would know that a silver dime planchet is not attracted to a magnet and would be smaller than a cent....
I said other, my main focus is pre Federal, colonial and state coinage. Particularly Connecticut coppers but I dabble in others as well.

Completely normal 1964 cent. Color has nothing to do with the so called sms cent, they were the same composition as any other cent and color...
