The 1923 seems over graded. The others are very nice, and I imagine some may have old cleanings.
The dealer has to make money, but as a bullion coin with low collector value, who cares if it is BU? You can only sell it to another "collector"...
You really see that clash on the reverse.
Found this one in a coin star and then someone mentioned it was MAD as well. The condition was pretty good (XF/AU?) and it's low mintage. But...
There is similar crud under the N I T E D at the top left. I think cleaning is almost 100% here. You can't get these coins, uncleaned in blast...
I'd love to see those map overlays on this coin and the known 32-D die pairs.
The upside on junk silver is sometimes you actually hit a coin worth more than the bullion content. For example, I bought some silver halves from...
Proofs that are not in proof holders are impaired. American silver eagles were just bullion to me, but I guess people collect them. Since they are...
I just figure there are people here that can chart the different die pairs with the D and then lay it over his coin to see if it matches. It is...
28 cents on the shelf behind the grill. None of the coins are damaged. Sometimes when they overload the grill to drop the coins in, there is a...
I understand what Paddy is saying, and since it's a nice set I wouldn't have an issue with the integrity. 1 dealer who is selling is not a...
Those are excellent 82 and 83s. The best I have pulled from circulation is XF/ possibly low AU. And the other 50,000 were junk.
Jim Dale you can get an affordable 1877 (in poor condition), but even with those, it's a very counterfeited coin/ altered date.
Fun Factory token on the grill. IDK what that is (arcade?). I don't think there is one in town, but I am out of the loop.
Wow nice one.
A silver dime planchet weighs 2.5g so the 4.3 gram has nothing to do with it. And, if you lay a dime on top of a nickel you can see why you would...
Old thread but it weighs way too much to be struck on a silver dime planchet and it would have no nickel rims. Paddy got this many years ago....
In G04 it says $45. This is prob one of those AG03. Still a good deal.
Catch 22. If it's a no D it's worth sending in. If it's not, it's not. The experts here if you get clear photos of both sides, the date, etc. will...
I don't even like it at 68. I would leave that alone, that is a gift grade. Likewise with the Peace dollar at 67. I think they are both over...
Separate names with a comma.
