That's an old notch someone put in the coin, plain and simple. Post-mint damage. I couldn't tell you what caused it without going back in a time...

Why would you want to waste so much money sending this off for grading? I don't think it would grade that high, and might not even straight...
#1 seems OK. #2 I do not like at all. #3 isn't terrible, but seems rather shadowy.
