It has all the classic signs of damage. A gouge with metal displaced is damage.
Circulation wear and tear. Spend it.
An extremely worn Die and a zinc planchet will look like this. A good coin to save for reference.

The price is a killer for me. The Canadian coin is nice but the US coin leaves room for something better.
