The obverse second strike does look as though something intervened...
That '41-D looks really nice!
You get the last 20 points for 1,000 posts. Keep posting....:)
My opinion is it's an 1880. The mint mark appears to match the small cc used in 1880 (that was not used in 1889)
Yeah, for me the numerical grade means very little compared to the eye-appeal. Serious coin porn there....:woot: MS62....
I was about 5 minutes away from leaving for work when I came across Heavy's alert. I was typing VAM-1 (17 berry) when I noticed the rust around...
MS64 and nice HOTtie! ;)
It's without a doubt counterfeit.
Did you post the wrong image? o_O
I'll bet they would body bag it...
I have all my images stored on an 1TB external hard drive in named folders by denomination and for Morgan Dollars by date.
I went on Friday. Managed to pick up a few goodies and yeah, I enjoyed the exhibits as well.
I didn't take a picture but my flag flying out front would fit this bill.....;)
It depends on your intention. Do you plan to keep or sell?
I missed this gtg but then again I was off the grid yesterday.. It was race day....:) Beautiful brownie....:woot:
Actually, your avatar coin is much less appealing than the Morgan Dollar...Just talking aesthetics ....
The date position does not match the far date dies. The linked ebay coin would actually be considered a very far slanted date. Possibly an 1889-P...
I'm late to this one but I would have said 66.
I think I see some DDO and DDR's in there....
I...do....enjoy.....your......coin.....:zombie:
