Damaged and it really doesn't matter how. It's worth one cent.

Looks like a small die chip on the R but the pics are blurry when I enlarge, otherwise it's normal for its age and wear.

A minor misaligned Die caused the weak rim by the date and the double thick rim on the opposite side. As for the 2 it looks like a plating...
Looks over dipped but her cheek, eyebrow and the field in front of her nose raise questions.
