Yup, acetone for a day or two then water rinse. If still dark toning, hold the coin in hot/warm running water, remove and lightly swab dark area...

I think it is a die chip, interesting but not worth much.
Common Wheaties (wheat back cents) are usually only worth 5-10 cents even if there is no damage. Spend this one on nation coin collecting day.
