A nice clash but certainly not worth 160 bucks. Browse ebay-you should be able to get one for no additional premium over a normal coin.
Probably this one-a 1913 Var One 3 1/2 legged Buffalo-probably fewer than 25 known [IMG]
"If they went back to the small white holders I would actually give them my business again." Going back to those would be SUCH a good idea!
Sorry-not the 3 1/2 leg variety.
3 grand is absurd for an acid date 16/16 Buff.
There isn't a full, complete digit as on the 1918-D 8/7-the "3" is weak and incomplete, as often happens on an initial hubbing of a hub or working...

Below is a macro image and a closeup image of Die #1. This is very convincing image to me. [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
Shown below is an overlay done by Dr James Wiles (of CONECA) of two Buffalo nickels-a 1913 and a 1914. This is how any purported 1914/13 overdate...
The Buffalo Nickel, closely followed by the FE 1c, Merc 10c, WL 50c, and the Sac $1. I also like the British 2 pence as pictured above. It's...
Yeah-I'd like to see that, too. These have to be spoof postings.
I most certainly will look at the ATB 25c next time I see one.
Proofs are struck on hydraulic presses. This is what provides the extra striking pressure. They are not struck on ordinary circulation strike presses.
Avoid.
I used to report stuff like this a few years ago but gave up and quit wasting my time. Sometimes they'd remove it but a day or two later it would...
