I see a circulated common date 1922 Peace Dollar. A satin proof would have a much better strike, especially in the lettering.

IMO, a strike that bad shouldn't be rewarded with a gem grade. The surfaces might say MS65, but the strike should limit it to MS64.
I remember when I first read this thread, I thought that $9 would be a steal for a standard 41-S nickel because I knew it would grade MS66...
