The Geta and the Gordian are my favourites, but really the whole group is very nice.
Excellent group, but will agree with the consensus - #2 is awesome.
Way outside my collecting area, but gosh those are really cool!
Great portrait on that one. Congrats!
Wow! Numbers 10, 6 and 4 are my favourites, but all of them are excellent choices. A very good year for you!
A nice eclectic mix! IMHO, you got your money's worth and then some.
That's a really gorgeous piece! I'm glad to see it made it to you safe and sound.
Utterly fantastic! You had a great year in coining.
Awesome coins! The Vespasian's are wonderful indeed!
I dare say, many of those would make my Top Ten list if they were mine as well. Looks like you had a very good numismatic year!
Wonderful coins in a beautiful presentation! I really like the Vespasian!
The coin looks so much better in the 'after' picture than the 'before' ones. I'm glad to see it's now free.
That Claudius tet is my favourite of the bunch too. Looks like you had a year full of numismatic variety!
All of them are outstanding. I particularly like the Q. Minucius Thermus denarius.
I'll answer if you promise not to put it into any ring. :angelic:
Awesome group of coins! I particularly like the quadrigatus. Doing a retrospective list of the year's best purchases is fast becoming a CT...
A follow-up question - did they use magnifying lenses?
The mint workers were careful not to destroy the major devices on the obverse, normally placing the c/m either in front/behind the bust or in this...
Me too. :D A countermarked coin is something you can't plan on, being unique and all. It was sheer luck that I came across it.
Who determined what types were struck? I'm sure it changed depending on the emperor and the time period, still it would be nice to know.
