That's a bummer.
I'm tempted to begin a pile on of somewhat related types...Gallienus, Postumus...but I'll refrain for now. Cool new addition, I've got a soft...
Ouch...
It was like a year between when I created an account and made my first post. Just jump in, post some coins, talk, question, jokes...whatever....
@Siggi Palma wonderful medal! Congratulations on adding it.
One day I'll get an encased cent.
Welcome @Mickey in PDX hope you stick around!
Of all the coins posted, my favorite has to be the bull reverse.
That cent is very cool! :vamp::borg::vulcan: I like it enough to have paid that. I imagine they're called hobo nickels because they're engraved...
I have no countermarked ancients, only one token that was countermarked. I do have a couple coins featuring the thunderbolt.
I was hoping you'd call him out. Here's mine: [IMG] Julian II, AD 360-363 AE3, 21mm, 2.6g, 12h; Heraclea mint: 361-363 Obv.: D N FL CL IVLIANVS...
If we're picking favorites, number 9 is my favorite of the bunch.
Maybe tonight I'll do Castle...think I have one from there.
Very nice. Best of luck to him with the sale and happy birthday!
This is very true. No one else I know really cares about my collection - ancient or otherwise. One guy at work at least pretends to be mildly...
I know some people, myself included, prefer coins outside of holders for photos.

Thanks Chris! My photo isn't what I want it to be but I don't yet have a better home for the token so it stayed in it's cardboard 2x2.
Well I like the reverse! (The obverse is cool too...that hair...)
I would search them and they're so far from what I collect. I think it's kinda weird to get paid in Ikes.
