I have been getting one silver dime per every 2 boxes now, I used to be getting 2-3 per box though.

It depends, what are you looking for, silver, errors, old coins etc. Dimes produce more silver.

A cud is a raised "blob looking thing" on that edge of the coin, mostly on the edge, the edge of the die would have chipped off leaving that...
My coin shop has those for 25 cents each, not very rare at all though.
