I am in that school of thought but find it is impossible for one to change a trend backed by millions of dollars in grades now. IMO more than half...
Are the proofs in that set if so they are worth more. Plus as mentioned already any that are still MS should be worth more to somebody.

[IMG] Just for info these are all PCGS graded and the set was number one in the registry for 1944 mint sets during 2009 and 2010.

I think I still have all the proof sets from the mint in the closet. Sold most of the clad proof and mint sets but kept the silver proofs sets.
I would think very seriously about weather it was worth the risk.
Just for reference the one in the Cheerpickerws shows lateral doubling not vertical.
